Last night I found myself craving bread. And not just any bread--CHALLAH. It's eggy and doughy and has the perfect hint of sweetness. Because it was the night before my first day back to school, I decided that it would be a good idea to stay up until 2 in the morning baking it. Genius idea, Ally.
But there's something so comforting about challah that it sort of was a good idea. I stayed up doing puzzles and eating bread and jam until I wasn't so nervous about my final semester of college and all of the impending changes that the next several months would bring. The future stresses me out so much that more often than not, I forget to sit and enjoy the present. Life was good early this morning.
I followed this recipe, with the only change being that I used "Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour" instead of normal flour. Because this year, I made a New Year's resolution to not eat gluten until I felt like eating it again.
And gosh dangit, I'm determined to stick to it.
